The Beacon Care Fund is the heart of Beacon Plumbing AZ. A portion of the proceeds from our work is set aside to help local families going through a difficult time who can’t afford an essential plumbing repair.
When money is tight, losing running water, a working toilet or hot water can turn a hard month into a crisis. The Care Fund is here to help neighbors get the essentials working again.
Why Geo started the Beacon Care Fund
Geo built Beacon on honest recommendations, quality workmanship, fair and transparent pricing and taking care of homeowners. Giving back to families in need is one of the biggest reasons he started it.
In his words: “I believe a local business should do more than simply operate in a community — it should be part of it, support it, and give back whenever possible.”
That’s what “For the community, by the community” means: the fund comes from the work our neighbors trust us with, and it goes back to neighbors who need a hand. Read more of Geo’s story on our About page.
What the Care Fund helps with
The Care Fund isn’t for luxury upgrades. It’s for restoring what a family truly needs at home.
Running water
Getting water flowing again after a broken pipe, failed valve or leak that forced the water off.
Working toilets
Repairing a toilet that won’t flush, fill or stop leaking, so a family isn’t left without one.
Hot water
Restoring hot water when a water heater stops working.
Safe plumbing
Fixing leaks and unsafe plumbing that put a family’s health or home at risk.
Other essential repairs that become an unexpected financial burden can be considered too.
How the Care Fund is funded
A portion of the proceeds from our work goes into the Care Fund, so when you choose Beacon, you help a neighbor, too.
Beacon is a new company, and the fund is just getting started. As Beacon grows, Geo’s goal is for the Care Fund to grow with it and help more families across the Valley.
How families are helped
Because the fund is new, we help families case by case. When someone is recommended, we listen, look at the plumbing problem and give an honest answer about whether and how the fund can help right now.
We can’t promise to help every family or cover every repair in these early days, but every recommendation is taken seriously.
Other help for Valley families
The Care Fund is small for now, and we’ll tell you when another resource is a better fit. These programs may help:
- 2-1-1 Arizona: dial 2-1-1 within Arizona for referrals to local help, including utility and housing assistance.
- City of Phoenix housing repair programs: help income-qualified homeowners inside Phoenix city limits repair vital systems, including plumbing.
- City of Phoenix Project Assist: helps income-qualified Phoenix households in hardship pay their City Services bill for water, sewer and trash.
- Maricopa County utility assistance: offered through Community Action Program offices for residents outside Glendale, Mesa and Phoenix, which run their own programs.
Eligibility changes, so check with each program directly.

How to recommend a family in need
A family may be a good fit for the Care Fund if:
- They’re going through a difficult time and money is tight
- They’re without running water, a working toilet or hot water
- A leak or plumbing problem is making the home unsafe
- The repair is essential, and they can’t afford it right now
To recommend a family, call us at (480) 335-8147 or email contact@beaconplumbingaz.com. Tell us roughly where in the Valley they live, what’s going on with the plumbing and the best way to reach them. You can also use our contact page.
Please talk with the family first and share only what they’re comfortable with. Some people would rather not be recommended, and that choice is theirs.
Is water leaking right now?
Stop the water first; the Care Fund conversation can wait. If it’s safe, close the fixture’s valve or the home’s main shut-off, and turn off the water heater if it’s leaking. Then call us — our line always answers.
How the community helps
The fund grows through everyday support from people like you.
Book your plumbing with us
Every job you book with us helps the fund grow.
Share and recommend Beacon
Telling friends and neighbors about us helps Beacon grow, and the fund with it.
Point us to a family
Know someone struggling with an essential repair? That’s how the fund finds the people it’s meant for.
Every repair helps a neighbor
Need a plumber? You’ll get honest recommendations and a clear, upfront price before any work begins, and part of every job goes back into the Valley.
Privacy and dignity come first
Asking for help isn’t easy. Every family who comes to us through the Care Fund gets the same respect as any customer, and we keep their names, addresses and situations private.
We won’t post photos, stories or details about a family the fund helps unless they tell us they’re comfortable with it. The point is a working home, not publicity.
Care Fund questions
Who can the Beacon Care Fund help?
Local families in the Phoenix-area communities we serve who are going through a difficult time and can’t afford an essential plumbing repair.
Does the Care Fund pay for upgrades or remodels?
No. It’s for essentials like running water, working toilets, hot water and safe plumbing, not upgrades or remodeling.
Can I reach out for my own household?
Yes. Call or email us the same way. We’ll listen and be honest about whether the fund can help right now.
Can I donate to the Care Fund directly?
Right now the fund comes from our work, so the simplest way to help is to book with us and recommend Beacon. If you’d like to help another way, we’d love to hear from you.
